  1. Am I worried more about what people think of my message or what God thinks about it? “The reason people fear people so much, is they fear God so little”.

  2. Do I genuinely love the people I am about to preach to? Have I spent enough time in prayer before the Lord seeking His heart for them that I now feel what He feels for them and desire to communicate His Heart as an ambassador of His Love?

  3. Am I presenting the message accurately, therefore presenting God accurately to the hearer? Have I made sure to invest the time in study and research to present my message with assurance from the Holy Spirit that it is indeed accurate and biblically sound?

  4. Am I leaning fully on the Holy Spirit’s power and direction to bring revelation and power to the message, or am I leaning on my charisma, personality, cleverness and personal gifts and talents to communicate my points?

  5. Have I applied the passages and principles I am about to teach to my own life prior to instructing others on the revelations I am communicating?

  6. Does the message I am bringing cause people to glorify God and turn their focus unto Him alone, or does it cause attention and praise to be directed towards myself?

  7. Do the people really need the message that I am bringing to them? Do I sense a Holy urgency from the Lord to communicate the message, or am I un-stirred? “If you are not stirred to preach, it is only because you are the author of your message and God is not in it” -D. Albert “The three things missing from today’s preachers are immensity, intensity and eternity” L. Ravenhill

  8. Is my message dangerous to the kingdom of darkness and does it have the potential to impact eternity with ultimate results being names added to the Lambs book of Life?
